Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the ongoing issues with the Ansal Group and directed authorities to file an immediate FIR against the company. He assured that the interests of homebuyers will be protected at all costs and strict action will be taken against those responsible.

During a review meeting of the Housing and Urban Planning Department, the Chief Minister expressed concern over allegations that the Ansal Group had defrauded homebuyers. He asserted that the government would not tolerate such malpractices and instructed officials to take stringent action against all responsible officers within the company.

The CM further emphasized that any district where the Ansal Group has been found guilty of defrauding buyers must promptly register FIRs against the company. To ensure effective legal proceedings, he ordered the formation of a joint committee consisting of affected buyers and the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA). This committee will coordinate to present substantial evidence in court, thereby strengthening the case against Ansal Group and ensuring appropriate punishment for those involved.

During the meeting, officials informed the CM that the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) had passed a unilateral order against the Lucknow Development Authority and the Housing Department without issuing prior notice. Expressing his displeasure, the Chief Minister directed authorities to appeal against the order in the public interest.

Additionally, while reviewing the Housing and Urban Planning Department’s progress, CM Yogi Adityanath instructed officials to expedite pending matters and take swift action to address ongoing grievances related to housing projects.
